Save our planet
- save darfur
- For more than three years, violence has devastated the remote western region of Sudan known as Darfur. Conflicts between tribal militias have left over 400,000 dead, and 2.5 million displaced, living in temporary camps where conditions are harsh and food is scarce. Fighting has reduced villages to ashes, crops to barren fields. The humanitarian crisis is only getting worse: 2,500 people die each week, the camps are full far beyond their capacity, and U.N peacekeepers have been prohibited from intervening.
We must do what we can to help and there is much we can do.

- climate crisis
- Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.
The vast majority of scientists agree that global warming is real, it’s already happening and that it is the result of our activities and not a natural occurrence.
